Japan has a culture of “Senpai” and “Kouhai”.

“Senpai” are those who are older or who have entered the company first. If you enter the company first, even if you are younger, you will become a “Senpai” at that company. “Senpai” gives advice and takes care of “Kouhai”. In Japanese culture, “kouhai” respects “senpai”, and “senpai” takes care of “kouhai”. However, this relationship causes problem sometimes. A “senpai” may use his force because of the position to make unreasonable requests to a “kouhai”.

Respecting the other person is a part of Japanese culture,Unfortunately , you will might face this kind of problem, when you work in a company.

Finally,I want to be a Japanese who can respect other people as a person. And to maintain that Japan is one of the wonderful countries in the world. At the same time I would like to handle this “senpai”and “kouhai” culture.
