大学生は、まもなく夏休みということで、そろそろ就職活動を本格的に始める人も増えています。
そこで、今回は京都大学留学生協会のKUISCと弊社が合同で京都大学の留学生を対象に6月25日(土)に【KUISC Job Hunting In Japan 101 seminar】を開催しました。
今回のセミナーはすべて英語で実施し、日本語が流暢ではない留学生でも参加できるようにしました。当日は、実際に日本で働かれている外国人OBOG4名に登壇していただき、参加者が直接OBOGに質問をできる形式にしました。
6月はサマーインターンシップがあり、学生が就職活動に動き始める時期です。
留学生もこの時期からインターンシップに応募して、就職活動に取り組む必要があります。
しかし、日本のインターンシップ制度は各国に比べて非常に特殊であり、選考フローが複雑なため疑問や不安を抱えている留学生が多くいます。
そのような留学生のために「何から始めるべきかわからない」などの疑問を解消するために以下の内容でセミナーを実施しました。

OBOGの質問会では、留学生とOBOGがブレイクアウトルームにて直接質問をできる時間を設けました。
留学生ならではの質問をOBOGに直接聞くことで、疑問や不安が解消できるようにしました。
今回実施したセミナーには累計26名が参加し、参加後アンケートでは５段階中平均4.7ととても高い満足度となりました。

【Report】English Seminar: KUISC×Enjin Job Hunting In Japan 101
University students will soon be on summer break, and it’s time for many university students to start job hunting!
Therefore, we held a 【KUISC×Enjin Job Hunting In Japan 101 seminar】with KUISC, Kyoto University International Students’ Community, on June 25 for international students at Kyoto University.
This seminar was conducted entirely in English, making it possible for international students who are not fluent in Japanese to participate. In addition, four almuni who are actually working in Japan were invited to speak, and the seminar allowed participants to ask questions directly to the almuni.
June is the time when summer internships are available and students begin their job search.
Not only Japanese students, but international students also need to apply for internships and start job hunting during this period.
However, the internship system in Japan is very unique compared to other countries, and many international students face problems because the hiring process is complicated.

In the Almuni Q&A session, we grouped participants and Almuni into breakout rooms, which allowed international students to ask questions directly to Almuni.
We tried to make it possible for international students to ask their questions, which are unique to them directly to Almuni and could be answered.
A total of 26 people participated in the seminar, and a participation survey showed a very high level of satisfaction with an average of 4.7 out of 5.
