夏休みも終盤になり、就職活動に取り組み始める学生も多いのではないでしょうか。
日本の就職活動は他国と比べて手順やスケジュールなどが大きく異なるため、就職活動にどのように取り組むべきか悩む留学生が多いでしょう。
そこで、弊社では日本での就職を希望する外国人留学生をサポートするために、2022年9月14日（水）と9月17日（土）に【第4回就職活動サポートセミナー】を実施しました。
今回のセミナーのテーマは冬季インターンシップでした。他国から来る留学生はインターンシップと聞くとこのようなことを想像するでしょう。
- 在学中の長期休み中又は卒業後に行う長期的な活動
- 志望度が高い企業1-2社を選んで長期的にコミットする
- 採用に直結する
しかし、、日本企業が実施しているインターンシップは少し違います。異なる期間、目的、形態で行う日本のインターンシップについて留学生は様々な疑問を抱くことがあるでしょう。
「日本のインターンシップとはどのようなものなのか」
「なぜ参加する必要があるのか」
「いつから・どのように準備するべきなのか」
このような疑問を解消するために以下の内容でセミナーを実施しました。

また、今回のセミナーのQ＆Aセッションには登壇者として日本で就職活動を成功させることができた留学生5名が参加しました。登壇者は参加者から寄せられた質問に対して、リアルな就職活動体験談やアドバイスについてお話しされており、留学生に有益な情報が盛りだくさんでした。
2日間実施したセミナーには累計81名が参加し、参加後アンケートでは5段階中平均4.5ととても高い満足度を得ることができました。

【Report】English Seminar: Job Hunting Support for International Students
As the end of summer vacation is drawing near, many students are taking their first steps toward job hunting.
Since the procedures and schedules for job hunting in Japan differ greatly from those in other countries, many international students may wonder how they should approach their job hunting activities.
In order to support international students who wish to find a job in Japan, Enjin Inc. held a Job Hunting Support Seminar over two days, on September 14th (Wed.) and 17th (Sat.), 2022.
The topic covered in the seminar was winter internships in Japan.
When international students from other countries hear the word “internship,” they may imagine something like the following.
- A long-term activity that takes place during the summer or winter vacation period or after graduation
- A long-term commitment to 1-2 highly desirable companies
- An activity that directly leads to full-time recruitment
However, internships offered by Japanese companies are somewhat different. Internships in Japan, which differ from other countries’ internships in duration, purpose, and style, may be confusing to many international students. Concerns such as the ones below have been raised in previous seminars.

“Why should I participate?”
“When and how should I prepare for it?”
In order to address the questions and concerns held by international students, the seminar explained in detail the following points.

- Schedule for job hunting and internship
- How to prepare
- How to apply
- Advice for international students
Following the informative lecture-based content, five international students who have successfully found jobs in Japan participated as speakers in the Q&A session of this seminar. The speakers answered questions from the participants and talked about their real job-hunting experiences and advice, providing a wealth of useful information for international students.
A total of 81 people participated in the two-day seminar, and a post-attendance survey showed a very high level of satisfaction with an average score of 4.5 out of 5.
